Four Years Later: Why Fishdom is Still Addictive and Relaxing

For four years, Fishdom was one of my stress relievers, and here’s why!

When I first downloaded Fishdom four years ago, I never imagined that I would still be hooked on playing it until now. Honestly, I’m not a gamer; the only game I used to play was Candy Soda. If you know that, it's like the twin sister of Candy Crush. Eventually, I uninstalled it because I struggled to progress through the levels unless I paid.

I discovered Fishdom through a former colleague who showed me her aquarium full of cute and colorful fish. Out of curiosity, I downloaded it–and the rest is history! I’m still playing it, and I’d love to share my experience with everyone!

What is Fishdom?

First, let me explain what the Fishdom game is! It's a match-3 puzzle game with an aquarium-decorating feature. The goal of this game is to match identical tiles to earn coins, and then you can use these coins to buy fish and decorations for your aquarium. As your level progresses, the challenges become more challenging, but you can also earn power-ups with the events that they have every day.

Aside from that, one of the features I love is the adventure mode,  where you face challenges on an island adventure. Here, you search for treasures and complete all the challenges using the energy you earn from winning puzzle games; you can also find power-ups for the tile game.

Furthermore, you’ll need to complete various tasks to uncover the island’s hidden items, which I enjoy because it adds an exciting twist to the game. It's a one-app game with three games already. They recently added a new update featuring an electric triangle tool. If you get it, it makes winning easier by clearing multiple tiles at once!

What I also like about Fishdom is its life systems. When you run out of lives, you need to wait before you can play again unless you want to pay for more lives, which I don’t do, and I just wait for it. This is a great way to create a natural “pause” in the game, which I need. I tend to spend more hours playing a game once I’m hooked, so it's great to have features to remind me to stop for a while. Back when I was in high school, I’d spend hours playing different games that had an impact on my study life. Now, I appreciate having a way to stop.

Key features of Fisdom

  • Match-3 puzzle gameplay - swap and match pieces to win
  • Aquarium customization - decorate and take care of cute 3D fishes.
  • Family-friendly - suitable for all ages.

The Redmi A3 is one of the best budget-friendly phones for gaming. With its 4GB RAM, Fishdom games can run smoothly with this device even at higher levels. The 128GB storage is more than enough for game updates and other apps.

This particular device has a 6.71-inch display, offering a wider and clearer game experience, it runs by MediaTek Helio G85 processor which is fast and responsive gameplay, and it has a 5,000mAh battery perfect for long gaming hours without worrying about your battery life. Lastly, it has expandable storage, you can add a micro SD card.

After four years of playing Fishdom, I don’t plan to stop playing it. So, I can definitely say that it’s one of the most enjoyable casual games I’ve ever tried. It's perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy decorating.
