This lineup goes hard!

New Year means a new set of games to be excited about! 2025 could be a banger for gamers, with anticipated titles from previous years. This is why we will outline the titles we are excited about this year.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

From Steam Official Website

Raise your fists in the air if you are a Yakuza fan! Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is taking quite a turn as they take the franchise into the salty waters. I mean, even the title took me off guard. Set in Hawaii's picturesque yet dangerous islands, the game blends the series’ signature melodrama and ARRGHH-lot of pirate humor.

But expect a continuation of the battles you loved, over-the-top missions, and perhaps some lovely karaoke.

Monster Hunter Wilds

From Steam Official Website

If you haven’t noticed, I am a HUUUUUGE fan of the series starting from Monster Hunter Portable. The game may feel like home for World players out there as it closely stems from the mechanics you are used to, just with a slightly changed move set and better fluidity. Unlike World, Wilds is set in an open environment and is subjected to weather systems. The cool thing I am looking forward to is its lobby system because you can acquire quests from anywhere and share the space with other hunters.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

From Ubisoft Official Website

Say what you will about this title and its controversies—I am still looking forward to it.

This time, the franchise takes us to Japan during the Sengoku period, an era filled with samurai, shinobi, and historical tipping points. Recent gameplay leaks have revealed its parkour mechanics, which look magnificent. The grappling and prone movements add an extra layer of expression for the player when executing missions. The game opens an avenue for future assassination montages mixed with nightingale floors and dynamic lighting for stealthier approaches.

Killing Floor 3

From Killing Floor 3 Official Website

Few games do chaotic co-op shooting, as well as the Killing Floor series, and Killing Floor 3 looks ready to take it up a few levels. Do you get it? With enhanced graphics and an even darker tone, this installment pits players against hordes of undead, but its expanded arsenal of weapons and gadgets is here for you. So call in the boys because a classic is getting a new game!

Grand Theft Auto 6

No list of 2025’s most anticipated games would be complete without GTA 6. After years of speculation and leaks, Rockstar’s juggernaut franchise is finally making its return. With an expanded map that reportedly has Leonida—based in Florida—and a Miami-inspired Vice City, the game promises unparalleled scale and detail. Check out its trailer alone; it's filled with real-world references.
