Gaming on your mobile phone was crazy back then; you could play while moving around. But I dropped the whole “mobile gaming” stage as I got older. That was the case until the tech industry stepped up its game for peripherals. Controllers started looking crazy good and functioning in a way that almost made them feel like handheld devices.
Now, if you are waiting for your mobile controller, check out these games that you should be playing.
Emulators
Modern games are cool, but when you want to relive the glory days of gaming, you must download some emulators and ROMs for your phone. With emulators like Dolphin (for GameCube/Wii) or PPSSPP (for PSP), you can play classics like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker or Pokemon on your phone. Even talking about it makes me want to jump back straight into my old Emerald save.
At least with a controller, you will no longer have the awkward touchscreen joysticks.
Genshin Impact
From Genshin Impact Play Store
If you haven’t tried Genshin Impact yet, what are you even doing? This open-world RPG is a visual masterpiece, with stunning landscapes, fast-paced combat, and a toooon of waifus and husbandos. While it’s playable on the touchscreen, a mobile controller takes the experience to the next level. Dodging, aiming, and switching characters feel much better, especially if you want to get your dailies over before jumping into the more exciting parts of the story.
Call of Duty: Mobile

You can’t have a mobile game list without Call of Duty—it’s a no-brainer. The game’s already great with its touchscreen controllers, but it will translate perfectly with a mobile controller. With it, you can keep your eyes glued better to all the necessary information to win the game.
At least with this, you can 360 no-scope easier.
Diablo Immortal

Blizzard’s Diablo Immortal brings this title to your phone, and it’s a perfect match for a mobile controller. Navigating dungeons and spamming abilities at EVERYTHING is more immersive when you’re not distracted by touchscreen controls. So, if you have a soft spot for an iconic hack-and-slash game, give this game a go once you get your controller.
Dead Cells
From Dead Cells Play Store
It’s Dead Cells, baby! The award-winning game is here and is a must-play for fans of fast-paced action and challenging gameplay. For those unaware, Dead Cells combines tight combat and a gorgeous pixel-art style displaced in procedurally generated levels. With a mobile controller, controlling your character’s attacks will eventually become second nature, making it easier to survive and enjoy the game for extended periods.
Having a phone is a must nowadays; if you don’t have one yet or require an upgrade, you can check out the Infinix ZERO 30, which is equipped with a Mediatek Dimensity 8020 5G Processor, capable of playing modern mobile titles of your choosing. If that isn’t quite to your liking, there are more to choose from in our Next Upgrade Shop—discover the latest and greatest right here.
