#SoITriedIt: A Three-Year Experience with the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker

If you’re a music lover like me, you might want to try the MI Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W). There are many reasons why this portable speaker is one of the best on the market. This article will discuss my review and insights about the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker I’ve been using for almost three years.

Xiaomi has always been a familiar brand to me, dating back to my college days when I first started using a Xiaomi phone. Naturally, when the time came to invest in a portable Bluetooth speaker, the Mi Portable Speaker immediately caught my attention. Here’s what I think sets it apart and why I’ve come to appreciate its features: 

1. Sound quality. This particular speaker has impressive sound quality. It has dual 8W drivers and delivers a crisp, clear, and impressive sound experience. Whether you’re listening to acoustic, pop, rock, folk, or other genres, I can guarantee you a great listening experience. Usually, my father would tell me to lower the volume because it's really loud even though I haven’t turned the volume to 100%. 

2. Rich bass. The Mi Portable Speaker (16W) has great bass performance even in its compact size. It has a built-in passive radiator that enhances low-frequency response and delivers a great base that adds depth and richness to your music, even if you’re watching a movie. 

3. Battery life. One of the great things I love about this speaker is its long battery life. As advertised, you can use it for 13 hours on a single charge. True to itself, I use it for 13 hours, allowing me to enjoy uninterrupted music playback throughout the day or binge-watch my favorite series. But technically, I don’t use it for 13 hours continuously, so I charge it every 3 days. It will always depend on how you use it. 

4. Durable and portable design. The Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W) is crafted from durable materials like aluminum alloy casing. It’s very compact and lightweight, making it easy to bring anywhere you go. I also like that it has different color varieties, and in my case, I bought the black design. 

5. Connectivity. In terms of connectivity, this speaker is very easy to connect to any device. It can seamlessly connect with a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device for wireless convenience. 

6. Simple controls. The simple controls are located conveniently at the speaker's top, making adjusting volume, skipping trackers, and managing calls effortless. It also has a built-in microphone that allows you to take hands-free calls with clarity and precision. 

7. Price. It's budget-friendly,  considering its features, making it a great purchase for somebody who’s looking for a great music experience without breaking the bank. I bought it for ₱2,000 two years ago, but you can buy it at the Next Upgrade Shop for ₱1,727.

Overall, using the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker for three years was one of the best purchases I made because I could listen to my favorite songs and watch my favorite movies with great-quality sound. #SoITriedIt, and I loved it!
